As you may have seen in the news, cholera has returned to Haiti to deepen the misery. Great efforts are being made to treat victims and slow the spread. So far, there are only isolated cases and not a great outbreak in Fort Liberte. But school is about to resume, and we would like to help by building sturdy, permanent Hand Washing Stations at both the new Primary and old Secondary Eben-Ezer School campuses. We saw the one pictured at another school near Port au Prince a few years ago, and believe we could build something similar. We all know good hand hygiene is important to overall health, but it is potentially life-saving in preventing the spread of deadly cholera.
Our Featured Fundraiser for Giving Tuesday will be for the construction of two Hand Washing Stations, with a goal of $10,000.00. Thank you so much for keeping the vulnerable, precious children of Haiti in your hearts and prayers.
