Feed My Lambs

Feed My Lambs is the name we chose for the school lunch program at the Eben Ezer School.

Our Child Sponsorship Program emphasizes the great need for Education for children, but we also know that it's hard to learn when your belly is empty. The school long struggled to have something to give the hundreds of school children to eat each day. For many years, the FFL  sent whatever was donated, from Vacation Bible School offerings to School fundraisers to provide lunch for the children. It was never enough to feed them everyday. A few years ago, we asked Child Sponsors to give an extra $5.00 to be used for Feed My Lambs. That steady boost of monthly small donations, combined with all the special offerings and fundraisers, has made a tremendous difference, and the FFL committed to sending $4000.00 per month for a steady school lunch program. Children are served heaping bowls of rice and beans daily. 

"Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me."  

Recently, the leaders at the school advised us that the older, secondary students who attend in the afternoon often come hungry, and, with ever rising food costs, there is often not enough for them. They have asked if we can increase the budget to $5000.00 per month so that there is plenty of food for all.  Would you, or your church, like to help us fund that increase in the coming school year? 

As we eat our own lunches, we often think of what Jesus told his followers in Matthew 25:40.
